Help & Advice

Choosing the Right Cooler

What is the difference between a freestanding and a built-in wine cooler?

The main difference is ventilation.Built-in (undercounter)units vent from the front, allowing them to be installed flush into cabinetry with zero clearance.Freestandingunits usually vent from the back or sides and require at least 2-3 inches of space around them to prevent overheating. Never install a freestanding unit inside a closed cabinet.

Should I choose a Single Zone or Dual Zone cooler?

It depends on your collection.

  • Single Zone: Best for long-term storage (cellaring) where all wine is kept at a constant 55°F, or if you only drink one type of wine.
  • Dual Zone: Best if you want to store Red and White wines at their distinct "serving" temperatures simultaneously (e.g., 50°F for Whites, 65°F for Reds).

How is bottle capacity calculated?

Industry-standard bottle capacity is based on the standard750ml Bordeaux bottle. If you have a collection featuring wider Pinot Noir, Champagne, or Magnum bottles, the total capacity will be reduced. We recommend buying a cooler with 20-30% more capacity than your current collection to accommodate larger bottle shapes.

Wine Cooling Systems (Cellars)

Can I just use a standard air conditioner for my wine cellar?

No. Standard A/C units are designed to cool air quickly and remove humidity. This is dangerous for wine, as it can dry out corks and oxidize the wine.Wine Cooling Systemsare engineered to maintain a steady temperature (55°F) while preserving essential humidity levels (50-70%) to keep corks moist and seals tight.

What is the difference between "Through-the-Wall" and "Split" systems?

  • Through-the-Wall: A self-contained unit that mounts into a hole in the wall, venting heat into an adjacent room. Easiest to install.
  • Split Systems: The condenser is placed outside or in a remote utility room, while the evaporator is inside the cellar. This is the quietest option and reduces vibration, but requires professional installation.

Shipping & Delivery

How will my large wine cooler or rack be delivered?

Large units are shipped viaLTL Freight. The standard delivery is "Curbside," meaning the driver will lower the pallet to the ground at the end of your driveway. For heavy units, we highly recommend arranging for extra help to move the unit inside.

Do you offer "White Glove" delivery?

Yes, for select brands and products, we can arrange White Glove delivery (inside delivery and trash removal) for an additional fee. Please contact our "Expert Help" team before placing your order to check availability for your location.

What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged?

Please inspect the packaging immediately upon arrival while the driver is still present. If you see visible damage, note "DAMAGED" on the Bill of Lading (delivery receipt) and refuse the shipment if necessary. Contact our support team within 24 hours so we can file a claim and send a replacement.

Returns & Warranty

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. As an authorized retailer for every brand we carry (like WhisperKOOL, Wine Guardian, etc.), all products come with thefull manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty lengths vary by brand and product type, typically ranging from 1 to 5 years.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return window for most items. The product must be in its original packaging and unused condition. Please note that for large freight items, customers are responsible for return shipping costs and a restocking fee may apply. Custom-made racks are non-refundable.
